In a special research project for a Business Marketing class, one student proposes using all the carwash wastewater runoff to be recycled and reused for other purposes around the carwash property. Now then the question of the day is this; Is Such a Water Conservation Concept for Carwashes Marketable to the carwash Industry? Yes or No.
In explaining her concept and innovation Business Student Paula Chavis states; “The recycled water can then be used inside the car wash to flush toilets or as tap water in the break room and bathrooms. It can also be used to water the landscape around the property as well.”
Indeed this is possible and wise for those carwashes, which are old and looking to save water and use that PR so there is no public outcry of their water usage during drought periods. I can recall in Santa Barbara, CA in the early 90’s that they instituted drought water police like the have now in Las Vegas, NV and like they had in NJ, MA, CO, MT and other states during the last drought in the United States. I know in Australia they too have often shut down carwashes due to limited and water supplies and quotas.
It is serious, so the thought of reusing water, even if it is not to wash the cars is a smart idea. And if your system took water from the top of one of the reservoirs on a triple trap or clarifier you could take the cleanest part of the water and then run it thru one or two-types of filters then reuse it and perhaps not even use the RO. If you are going to water plants, plants like nutrients and if you are going to flush toilets, well that “turd” in the bowl does not care how clean the water really is you see? So that is a thought too. Of course not taking away from the obvious great idea or concept.
Do you think carwashes would buy this system to conserve water, what could you charge for such an innovative idea to save water? Consider all this in 2006 as you find your own innovations to solve all mankind’s problems.

Publicity is essential for a business, whether it is located at the market centre or on internet. When a business has small or even no promotion budget, “Press Release” is the optimum method to lure people.
Online press release can provide considerable platform to reach huge online community. This article will provide complete guidance to make out well optimize and well written press release for PR distribution through the press release network. A well prepared press release would attract journalists and is also well optimized for distribution to targeted audience.
Proper keywords: Selecting key word is the most important part of press release optimization. Be very careful while deciding on a keyword phrase that is pertinent to the product or service you are offering. The best recommended tool to search keywords is wordtracker.com.
Keyword or phrase position: Place key phrase into the headline and the title of your press release. Try to repeat it nearly 2-3 times in the content of the release.
Starting should be solid: Remember to make your title and initial lines cover that you want to express. The remaining part of your press release should depict the detailed information.
Use product name repetitively: Repeat placements of the name of your service or product to make it eminent. For example, write “Search Engine Optimization” instead of writing “SEO”, this would make your product name much popular.
Draft it for Journalists/Media agencies: The media agencies and journalists would grab your press release and publish it in their publications; they may slightly edit your press release.
Consider viewer’s interest: You should consider to whom you are targeting your press release, and what is their interest. Think, if you were a part of audience, would you like to read the press release you have written.
Make your press release appear practical: Point out real facts of your company/organization, as readers are already so scholar enough to find out ‘what’s true and what not’?
Make your story that includes real facts: Avoid untrue examples and add-ons. If you find the content using much added extras, make it natural and real. Your press release should be in active voice, not passive. Verbs in the active voice makes your press release live.
Use only sufficient and essential words: Avoid using superfluous adjectives, extravagant language, or unnecessary expressions like “The most powerful”. Tell your story with lesser words, as verbosity distracts from your content.
Avoid usage of terminology: However, a limited use of terminology would be allowed if required, if you aim to optimize news release for internet search engines. The finest technique to communicate your press release is to speak neatly, using regular language.
Keep away from too many exclamations: Too much usage of exclamation point (!) may harm your press release. But, if you have to use an exclamation point, use only one.
Get company permission: Companies are very self-protective about their recognition and credibility. So, get written permission before putting in any information or quotes about the company.
Company Information: The press release should include a short description of company, which depicts your company, products, service and a brief history of company.
Pick precise PR distribution network: Deciding on press release distribution network is also an important. There are hundreds of free press release distribution networks exist so it is critical to select on whether to go for paid services or free.
Propose RSS feeds: Assist journalist by offering RSS feeds so that they haul to your website. Through this interested parties will get known that you have relevant release on the topic for, which they are searching for.
Publish releases often: Try to publish press releases frequently to be recognized as news source for news agencies such as Yahoo news and Google news.

Conquering Fear vs. Walking on Water
Step 1:
Develop Clarity
The Shift
Conquering fear means you have a battle with fear and you win. You summon up your courage, whistle a happy tune, and you come through to the other side. My daughter once asked me, “If you are courageous does that mean you aren’t afraid?” I answered, “No, you’re afraid and you do it (whatever it is you are afraid of) anyway.” Being courageous is a wonderful trait but it takes a lot of energy to battle with fear.
The Leap
Walking on water means rising above your fears by not giving them attention and energy. This means you don’t have to act in the face of fear, win a battle, or make the fears go away. The fear can still be there, totally intact, but you do not identify with the fear! As the observer of the fear you are separate from the fear and you can choose to put your attention on something other than the fear. When you take action from here, the action will be more effective because you’re not using up your energy dealing with the fear.
Take the example of the way race car drivers are trained: They fear “hitting the wall” on a treacherous curve. If they focus on the wall, that’s where the race car will wind up. So they are taught to focus on a spot ahead of the curve, ahead of the wall, and that’s where the race car goes. Focus on the future you want, not the fear that is keeping you from getting there.
Step 2:
Change Your Thinking
Change your focus
When you choose to focus on You the observer, rather than the situation as something outside of your control, the fears lose their power over you. Fear is always about the future, something that can’t be anticipated or controlled; it’s the unknown. You, the one who can observe and respond to the situations, represent the known and the stability within the changing situations. You have the ability to observe the situation, choose your focus, be present in the moment, and take effective action.
Snapshots
My coaching client, Diane, dreaded attending a family reunion. She had always felt slighted, misunderstood and unappreciated by her family. Being around them was a frustrating experience. Whenever Diane expressed herself within the family, she felt nobody listened to her or cared about her opinions. So far, Diane’s only option had been to pretend to be someone else who fit in.
Diane wanted to maintain a relationship with her family without feeling like a sham. She valued family unity and it was important to her that they would always be there for one another in a pinch, no matter what. As Diane’s coach, I suggested she run an experiment: Attend the reunion without trying to change anything or anyone, including herself. Instead, I suggested that Diane set a positive intention for herself and practice self-awareness during the reunion.
Diane promised to try something new. She would practice noticing her frustration when it came up, acknowledge it, and release it with love. This shifted the focus from what her family was thinking and doing to what she was thinking and doing. It brought her You back into the equation. Diane agreed that her own thoughts and actions were the only place she had the power to make a change.
As a result of the experiment, Diane was able to make it through the reunion with less suffering while remaining true to herself. She was able to start practicing whom and what to focus on when she was with her family and to observe herself within the situation. Immediately Diane could see new possibilities for family relationships from this perspective.
Step 3:
Take Action Daily
When you have a fearful thought:
- Take a deep breath, breathing from your abdomen (which is your physical power center), and bring yourself out of the future and back into the present
- Notice it, acknowledge it, and release it with love
- As an experiment, consider taking a different action from your habitual reaction
- Feel the fear and do it anyway
Step 4:
Evolutionary Step
Use change of focus as an environment for Personal Evolution.
Usually we focus on our thinking. We are like heads walking around without bodies! Our emotions are like threads leading back to the source of our being. Change your focus from thinking to emotions as a way to create more balance in your life.
When you feel a strong negative emotion, become as expansive as you can imagine, allowing the opposite emotion to surface. Start by imagining that you begin to feel the opposite way about the person or situation. By changing your focus and having a fuller experience of all emotions, you expand your capacity to focus your attention on emotions, and experience being more than the emotions.
Experiment with working on a negative emotion – Working on the fear of loss:
The next time you feel that someone has taken something away from you, imagine giving something to that person. What happens for you when you think about loss from this perspective? What do you think would happen for the other person?
If you feel courageous after using your imagination, try actually doing it.
Write down the results of this experiment:
What did you notice about yourself?
What did you notice about the other person?
PS – When you run this experiment do it with something small to start out with. This will help you to build your muscle for doing something different in the face of a feeling of loss.
Step 5:
Transcendence
The Essential You is the one who is greater than all the emotions. At the heart of all emotions is a ground or basis that is greater than all the emotions and that ground is love. From love, the direction of emotions changes from thinking and memories to the heart of our being. When we are grounded in this awareness, we can begin to practice walking on water.
Eventually we get so good practicing walking on water that we become the water and there is nothing to fear, there is nothing to lose or gain. We don’t have to be courageous, or change our perspective. We will not be able to be truly secure unless we have this knowledge: “I am infinite”.
To unfold the awareness of the source of thinking, acting, and emotions, put your attention on that source, the Essential You. Close your eyes and see the space behind your closed eyes. Who sees the space with closed eyes?

On the face of it, Venice Beach, California is a nothing but a three-mile long sandy beach. However, it is known to the world as the roller skating capital, as well as rich cultural history that includes a tradition of music, Beatnick poetry, and good times. Tourism is now alive and well in Venice Beach, California. It has an array of activities to offer. During the entire summer season and on the weekends, one can find every intersection of the city laced with a gamut of street entertainment artists like musicians, singers, jugglers, acrobats, mimes, comics, magicians, prophets, fortune tellers, and other assorted entertainers.
Tourists should not be enticed by visions of a balmy summer in this town. Vail receives an average of 300 days of sunshine a year with little-to-no humidity. The weather can change in a matter of hours, so it is a good idea to be prepared with extra layering when heading outdoors. Near the onset of summer, the weather can be very deceptive; temperatures at ground level can drop to freezing at night. During the summer, the average daytime temperature is an enjoyable 75 degrees, while the average evening temperature is a cool 45 degrees. The daytime highs in the hottest month, July, hit the low 70s, with lows still touching the high 30s.
There are many hotels and other types of accommodations available to stay in when you go to vacation in Venice Beach. Everything from luxury hotels to youth hostels can be found. Make your choice, and have fun.

Do all of us really need a laptop? It surely looks that way because demand is sky high. The battery shortage obstacle is not going to aide things either. I think the unlucky thing for manufacturers is that it doesn’t look like any factor will slow this demand for laptop computers. Whatever you do you’re dealing with technology that is shifting all the time so its hard to keep up with the times.
Gaming laptops are one of the areas that have seen an increase. You can actually get a high specification for your cash these days because even the high end technology is dropping into the mass market area very quickly. I play games on my laptop on a regular basis and must say I’m surprised how playable few of the demanding games are. Compact components that perform better and are more heat efficient also means that gone are the times of the enormous laptops for gaming. Though gaming laptops have advanced in numerous aspects, in relation to raw performance they still cannot rival with desktops. It’s a niche to keep an eye on as purchasers are looking for portable, more potent systems as we speak.
I think we are seeing greater numbers of start-up companies exclusively peddling custom built laptops. The main advantages here are the fact that you can usually get better third party components in custom laptops. I admire the fact that you can sometimes even ask for what components you require. Mass market laptops are not manufactured with particular customers in mind and this could pose an issue. Custom made laptops are about for this reason. They fulfil needs that others cannot. I like that fact that there are plenty of small sized resellers giving good service for custom laptops. To a couple of buyers this is very significant.
Tons of awesome laptops are coming out in the coming months. Except from what has previously been mentioned UMPC’s are also massive thing witnessing a rise this year. Its strange how devices designed for the 3rd world nations have become a buzz in the developed countries. People require laptops that are light but also large enough to be practical and user friendly. Rigid enclosures needed for such laptops are still too pricey. By Analysing the trends it looks like gaming laptops will become slimmer and more powerful. I really don’t know what to expect apart from those concepts spoken of. Some Manufacturer is modifying a gadget to be different in a saturated market.
Check out some cheap gaming laptops here.

There are two main categories of recreational vehicles (RV’s); motorized and towable. Towable RV’s include fifth wheels, travel trailers, folding/tent/pop-up campers, toy haulers, and park models. In this article, part I, fifth wheel campers and travel trailers will be covered. Part II of this article will discuss folding/tent/pop-up campers, toy haulers and park models.
FIFTH WHEEL CAMPER
Fifth wheel campers are the most expensive of the towable campers (with the exception of some park models). They have a gooseneck hitch that is hooked up in the bed of the truck (a special package needs to be installed in the truck bed to accommodate the hitch).
In addition to the spaciousness and many amenities of fifth wheels, they are a popular towable camper because they are easier to tow than a travel trailer. That is because the weight of the fifth wheel is more centered and better distributed than with a travel trailer that is hooked up to the rear of the towing vehicle. That makes a fifth wheel camper more stable and much easier to control in windy conditions or when dealing with the back drafts from semi trucks on the freeway.
The distinctiveness of the fifth wheel trailer comes from its bi-level design. The raised section is often a master sleeping suite. A popular floor plan for families has the master suite on one end of the camper and a bunk bed sleeping area on the other end. Another popular floor plan, and my favorite, has a master bedroom suite on the raised end and a relaxing area with recliners and a full length window on the other end.
Fifth wheel campers usually have awesome kitchen areas. Some common amenities in the kitchen area include full-size pantries; full-size refrigerators, stoves, ovens and microwaves; ample cabinets and countertop space; and even snack bar areas for casual dining.
Fifth wheel campers are popular with families and people who do a lot of camping because they’re very comfortable and roomy.
Almost all new fifth wheels made today have slide-out areas to give you even more room. When you walk through a fifth wheel camper with slide-outs you’ll notice how spacious it feels because of the extra interior width they give you. Keep in mind though that every slide-out adds extra weight to the camper, adds to the cost, and adds to the setup time at the campsite.
When looking at fifth wheel campers make sure the ones you are looking at are not too heavy for your truck to pull.
One of the really nice things with having a towable camper such as a fifth wheel is that once you have the camper situated in the campsite, you can unhook the vehicle from the camper and go off and explore. Hooking and unhooking a fifth wheel from a truck doesn’t take that long to do either – usually only a few minutes. It usually takes longer to hook the camper up to the water and electric facilities than it does to hook or unhook the hitch.
There are some disadvantages of fifth wheel campers. A heavy duty truck (think more expensive truck) is needed to pull them, which adds to the expense of owning a fifth wheel. The hitch for the trailer is in the bed of the truck which limits the functionality of the truck bed. Some people take the hitch out of the truck bed when they’re not using the fifth wheel, but that can be a cumbersome and time-consuming process. And, some people do not like the bi-level design with the extra steps, because the only steps they want to have to navigate are the ones to get in and out of the camper.
TRAVEL TRAILER
Travel trailers are the most popular towable camping trailer in the United States. They come in many different weights and lengths. Some are light enough to be pulled by a van or SUV. A heavy duty truck isn’t always needed. Because they are hitched to and pulled by using a rear hitch, a travel trailer doesn’t use up truck bed space like a fifth wheel trailer does.
They are lighter than fifth wheels and aren’t quite as long as fifth wheel trailers. And, depending on the size the trailer, they can be very spacious with lots of great amenities including: nice-size kitchens, a bathroom, living and dining areas, and multiple sleeping areas.
Travel trailers are less expensive than fifth wheel trailers but can have the same amenities as a fifth wheel trailer which is probably the main reason they are the most popular towable travel trailer sold. They are also the oldest type of RV. Airstream has been making travel trailers for over 70 years.
Slide-outs are popular in today’s travel trailers. But again, they add weight, set-up time and cost.
When looking at travel trailers keep in mind that, in many cases, a 30 foot trailer is a trailer that is 30 feet when both the trailer itself and the front hitch are measured together. A 30 foot trailer may only have 27 feet of usable living space. Ask questions and look at the printed specifications when doing your shopping so you know what you will be getting. To be absolutely sure of the dimensions, take along a measuring tape and measure the length, width, and height of the travel trailer yourself – especially if the space in your driveway or storage area is limited.
Because of the popularity of SUV’s, many manufacturers now offer lightweight and ultra-light travel trailers. They are attractive to many RV purchasers because the majority of the trailers in these categories can be pulled by SUV’s, minivans, or medium-sized trucks. Keep in mind though that “lightweight” is a relative term. In the travel trailer world, “lightweight” typically means a trailer that weighs less than 4,000 pounds.
The biggest disadvantage of a travel trailer is how it tows. Because they are pulled using a rear hitch versus the truck bed hitch used with fifth wheels, they are not as stable. Larger travel trailers can be difficult to control in windy conditions and hard to maneuver into a campsite. If you have a large travel trailer, such as one of the 35 foot models and your towing vehicle is 15 feet long, you have 50 feet of “vehicle” to maneuver from place to place.
That’s not to say owning a travel trailer is going to be a bad experience. Millions of people own travel trailers and are very happy with them. Just make sure you have a vehicle capable of towing the travel trailer, a good hitch, good side mirrors on your vehicle for unobstructed views, and have a willingness to learn how to adjust your driving habits to accommodate having a travel trailer hooked to your vehicle.
Please see part II of this article for discussion of folding/tent/pop-up campers, toy haulers and park model towable campers.

Problem Situations:
*Eliminate an unwanted situation
*Obtain an improved situation
Types of Problems:
**People – the most difficult to solve
**Equipment/Procedure – Ex: The office computer network is frequently off-line.
**Financial – Worker productivity is too low in relation to the wages paid.
Steps to Making Decisions:
1. Verify that a problem actually exists
2. Clearly and Accurately State the Problem
Focus on the Main Issue(s)
Decide If and Which Person or Persons Are Involved
3. Gather the Facts
Note: There are sources to help you gather information. Some of them are:
a. Brainstorming – using creative thinking to find ideas.
b. Group discussions with people affected by the problem.
c. Distribute an information survey to gather specific responses.
d. Conduct personal interviews with people affected by the problem.
What happened?
When did something happen?
Where did something happen?
Why did something happen?
4. Organize and Make Sense of the Facts
What do I need to do to solve the problem?
Did this problem occur because of a personality conflict?
Has this problem been solved before? How? By Whom?
How much time is available to solve this problem?
Do I need money to solve this problem?
Do I need someone’s advice to solve this problem?
Will the solution result in a lawsuit?
Does the solution mean eliminating equipment, personnel, or a procedure?
5. Select the “best fit” solution as a result of asking the above questions.
6. Implement the solution
7. Follow-up and evaluate whether the solution worked as planned.

So, you’ve decided to make a New Year’s resolution. You write it down, tell everyone about it, and then break it three days later. Then, you spend the next six weeks beating yourself up because you’re such a failure. However, you aren’t the problem; your resolutions are. Setting resolutions just doesn’t work for most people. Instead, why not try a combination of affirmations and general goal setting.
Instead of saying you aren’t going to smoke any more and becoming frustrated when you give in to your caffeine addiction two days later, set a goal of stopping your habit by the same time next year. Write your goal in your nicest writing on a good piece of paper. Then, below the goal, write some affirmations.
Affirmations are an important part of goal setting because many times you have to believe you deserve to reach your goal before you achieve it. If using affirmations sounds silly, think of it as prophesying your future or blessing your life.
If you are writing affirmations for stopping that smoking addiction, you might use:
1. I deserve to stop smoking so that I can be healthy.
2. I don’t even like smoking.
3. I will stop smoking by next year.
4. I won’t even crave a cigarette.
Now, tape that goal sheet up beside the bathroom mirror. Every day, look at your goal and then look your reflection straight in the eye and repeat your affirmations out loud in a firm voice. The first few times, you’ll probably be so afraid people will overhear you that you’ll be tempted to whisper, but eventually, it will get easier.
Finally, don’t be discouraged if you don’t see any results right away. If you do feel a bit down about your lack of success, just repeat your affirmations another few times. After all, if kids can do poorly in school because people keep telling them they’re not smart, it makes sense that you can reverse the process and fulfill good expectations, even if they are your own.
