This interview is with Michael Murray, the author of a top selling ebook titled “Autoresponder Basics.” Michael is also involved with many excellent affiliate programs.
Terry: Michael, this is a real pleasure to talk about your experience and business on the Internet. To start off, how did you get involved with the Internet?
Michael: I’m disabled and I always figured I’d get a job with computers. In 1996, my dad got the Internet hooked up and I loved it. At the time, I was 13 and a big fan of Goosebumps (the popular book series back then). I would search for information on it. When I was 16, I started seeing lots of “Get Rich Quick” schemes and fell into it and wasted a lot of money. Fortunately, I learned through trial and error the right way to make money online.
Terry: That is an interesting beginning. What led you to develop your top selling ebook “Autoresponder Basics”?
Michael: For a couple of years, I only promoted affiliate programs. I didn’t have my own product. I was in the very competitive Internet marketing niche and there was already an overload of information. People were writing “How to Make Money Online” ebooks who weren’t even making a dime themselves! I didn’t have anything new to say about the subject. I became a critic of other people’s work and wrote honest reviews about it to my email list. They would save money by buying only quality products. My reviews led people to ask me how to use autoresponders. They realized the need to “build a mailing list” but had no idea how to technically do it.
I did some research and discovered that a lot of good guides existed about email marketing techniques and list building strategies. However, the guides all assumed you knew how to use autoresponders. That was a bold assumption. After some encouragement from a fellow marketer, I researched and wrote “Autoresponder Basics.”
Terry: Great! You benefited on an opportunity to develop a product that people wanted. What types of products/services do you believe sell well on the Internet?
Michael: First, information products (i.e., ebooks, tapes, videos, coaching, seminars, etc.) are the #1 item to sell online. Information products have low overhead and high markups. To sell information products successfully, you need a tightly targeted niche market to sell to. You need not only a niche but also a sub-niche. My ebook is the perfect example. I chose a specific subject in a niche that very few other people were marketing.
Terry: Sounds straightforward. Find a market niche and pursue it. In your pursuit, what well-known Internet marketers helped you the most with your business?
Michael: Terry Dean was the biggest help. I have almost all his products. He taught me the importance of email follow-up. Yanik Silver, Jim Edwards and Stephen Pierce have great products that have educated me.
Terry: It is very important to have guidance from a qualified coach. What is your opinion on the best way to market products/services?
Michael: The best way to market your own products is through joint ventures. The JV is a partnership formed to share risks and rewards. For example, one person develops a product and another sells it for a percentage of the profits. This is usually 50% or higher. If I have an ebook on car repair, I’d go to other car websites and ask them to put a link to my website on their website.
Terry: The implied message is to use JVs to your advantage. Do you advertise in an ezine?
Michael: Yes! Paid ezine advertising is a great way to make money quickly. However, I would not sell a product in the ad. Instead, I would give away a free report in the ad and get prospects onto an email list. Sell to the list.
Terry: That makes sense. Build your list! Is it important to have a lot of money to spend when starting a marketing business?
Michael: No! The only thing you’ll need is a good autoresponder. A website is a good resource but not mandatory if you have a good autoresponder.
Terry: OK! With regard to follow-up sales, how important is it to sell a back-end product/service?
Michael: Very. Why should you continually find only new customers and not profit from old ones? Also, back-end doesn’t necessarily mean high-end. A very good back-end product would be a recurring billing program. One of the back-end products for my autoresponder ebook is the promotion of an autoresponder service. It pays $5 a month per member signup through me. This is monthly residual income.
Terry: Back-end sales are very nice. With that in mind, how often do you contact the individuals on your opt-in prospect list and customer list?
Michael: I publish a weekly newsletter to my newsletter list to keep me on their mind. Whenever I have a good offer, I contact my customer list. I don’t want to keep bothering them unless I have an important announcement.
Terry: Quality versus quantity! How important is the promotion and sale of affiliate programs?
Michael: It’s very important! The majority of my income comes from affiliate programs. Even if you have your own products, affiliate programs are a great way to earn extra profits.
Terry: The returns from promoting affiliate programs are worth the effort. What strategy do you employ with the affiliate programs you promote?
Michael: I promote programs at different price levels but not to just make money. The program has to be a good, something I can talk about and of interest to my list. If affiliate programs are going to be your main business, develop a free report to get prospects on your email list. Next, promote the affiliate programs in your newsletter.
Terry: Sounds simple enough! Do you recruit affiliates to sell your products/services?
Michael: Most of my product sales come from affiliates. However, you can’t sit around and wait for affiliates to come to you. You must go out and actively recruit them. You want affiliates to have large email lists and credibility in your niche. Give these affiliates a free copy of your product and a large commission for each sale.
Terry: Results depend on successful recruiting. What do most Internet marketers do wrong in trying to build a successful business?
Michael: They forget the main purpose of Internet marketing! Find a hungry niche market and provide customers with good products. Some marketers get lost in the “hype” of the Internet and forget basic economic principles.
Terry: You have very thoughtful insight. Moving along. How can you tell if an affiliate program is legitimate?
Michael: I always buy the product before joining the affiliate program. If it’s a good product it’ll generally be a good affiliate program. Be cautious of any programs that focus more on selling than on the product itself. Troubles lie ahead if you have to pay to be in a program but have no clue about the product!
Terry: Know the product before committing to a program. How should a newcomer determine what field to pursue in Internet marketing?
Michael: Research a potential niche market carefully. Go to the website GoodKeywords.com and see how many people search your topic area. Select a niche area with high traffic.
Terry: Excellent recommendation! In your judgment, what are the most effective things a newcomer should do to develop an affiliate strategy?
Michael: Pick a strong niche market and 3 good affiliate programs to promote. The individual affiliate needs to brand themselves (i.e., take on a unique identity) and not the affiliate program.
Terry: Therefore, branding is critical! What key things would you recommend to a new Internet marketer to achieve financial success?
Michael: Concentrate on building a list! Learn from the people who have already succeeded. There’s no shame in asking for help. Keep a cool head and have patience. Success won’t come overnight but it will happen. Don’t give up! You may be one failure away from success.
Terry: That is good positive encouragement for all marketers. Do you have any other comments you would like to add?
Michael: If you are a newbie, you have a long road ahead of you. However, the destination is worth the wait. Everything is a learning process. Remember the main objective is to solve someone’s frustration. There was a person out there banging his keyboard in anger and trying to figure out autoresponders. My ebook solved his problem. Find a frustration and solve it! You’ll be on your way to riches!
Terry: Michael, thank you very much for your valued inputs.

We all know that email is probably today’s most popular way to advertise. Every day our inboxes are filled with messages from people who want our business–whether we asked for the contact or not. Email is today’s biggest communication factor; but why shouldn’t it be? It’s all but free to use, and it’s almost instantaneous.
But there is one problem with advertising via email that you may not think of very often: blacklisting. All it takes is one complaint, and your ISP or domain name can be put on someone’s black list. If you’re on the black list, your emails are not getting through–and neither is your advertising message.
So how big of a problem is this? Well, AOL, one of the world’s biggest Internet service providers, winds up blocking a whopping 80% of messages to its subscribers due to blacklising. Your email could be the most legitimate message ever sent, but if one person forgets they signed up or decides to complain, you could be blacklisted. And for your business, the resulting slump in sales can be devastating.
What is a blacklist, exactly? A blacklist is a database of known Internet addresses (or IPs) used by individuals or companies sending spam. Various ISP’s and bandwidth providers subscribe to these blacklist databases in order to filter out spam sent across their network or to their subscribers. Companies like AOL, MSN, and Yahoo all have very strict policies on spam, so many well-intended, legitimate emails never get through.
So how can you be sure you haven’t been blacklisted? Unfortunately, you really can’t be 100% sure. You may be on someone’s black list and not even know it, and be added to and removed from black lists at the drop of a hat. The only way to prevent being blacklisted unfairly is to use today’s technology to keep track of it all. There is cutting-edge software technology available that checks all the major black lists like Spamcop, MAPS, and SPAMHaus to ensure your domain or ISP hasn’t been added.
Taking a few moments to understand and solve your potential blacklisting problem can mean a world of difference in your bottom line.

Many of my clients ask me whether they should publish a paid e-zine instead of a free one. My answer is the classic consultant’s answer: “It depends.”
First of all, what do you want your e-zine to DO for you? Once you know the goal of your e-zine, the answer will be clear.
If you want to promote your current business and sell more of your products and services, a free e-zine is your ticket to success. If you plan to build a new business around making money from subscription fees, of course you’ll want to charge. However, publishing a paid e-zine is no small task! Here are some important points to consider…
- You should only charge for your e-zine if you feature information that is hard to find elsewhere. If you try to pass off paid information as exclusive, but your readers can find it anywhere on the Web for free, you’re not only going to fail, but you’re going to tick people off.
- A fee-based e-zine takes many, many hours of work to keep afloat — much more so than for a free e-zine. The publisher of one very successful paid online publication admits he spends over 100 HOURS each month to develop the leading-edge content his readers paid for and expect.
- You will never grow as large a list with a paid-subscription e-zine as with a free one. This is obviously because less people will sign up if they have to pay versus if it’s free.
Now, if you had visions of making big money with a paid publication, don’t give up just yet. There ARE many successful paid pubs on the Web that are making their owners very rich. However, you should note that most of these e-zines continue to publish a free e-zine to gather prospects and then convert them into paid subscribers.
So, YOU decide. Can you create content that’s so valuable and special that we can’t find it anywhere else? Are you ready to invest a huge amount of time and effort to publish an extremely high-quality publication?
If not, you’re better off publishing a free e-zine that provides great value. The key to building a large and valuable list of prospects (who are likely to buy from you in the future) is to offer useful, quality content for free. It’s the proven model that works over and over.

Do you ever find it fascinating that people who work in the Masonic Groups often have an arrogant air about them? Is it deserved, ultra self-confidence or showmanship and professional parasite presence practicing that does this? When discussing things with gentlemen of the Masonic Groups we often see that they try to put the listener into a father son mode and use the authoritative psychology to grow and propel a line of reasoning, which they put forth in a story.
Unfortunately as good as this may have worked in the past it does not work with the new upcoming generations and this tactic must be changed if the Masonic Groups are to survive into future periods. If the Masonic Groups do not understand that the world is changing and their tactics are not working then they will not survive. These new generations have a mistrust of authority.
Additionally, many people in the Masonic Groups do not understand that they are being used and they are really very low on the Pyramid. In other words they have allegiance to other men who are no better than them selves and yet they follow a hierarchy without knowledge of the end game or goal. Is that honorable or blind trust in a false perceived super intellect benevolent supreme leader? Either way that is not going to fly with the Xer Generation.
Such groups will find themselves butting heads with real men of experience, wealth, knowledge and vast amounts of observation. If these low men on the totem pole cannot understand this reality then they will turn off these next generations, who think differently and have no one to pass their torch too.
And this will be the collapsing of the base and foundation of their pyramid and the end of the Masonic Groups as we know them or do not know of them depending on where you stand on such a hierarchy. Indeed, I write this article from pure observation and not from malice and fully understand the history behind the Masonic Groups and their services to civilizations of past periods.
Nevertheless, it is time for the Masonic Groups who really are the low men on the Pyramid to consider a little re-branding of their endeavors. If the average citizen dismisses the Masonic Groups and shows a disliking towards them, then the foundation will be in jeopardy from barriers put in their way.
If that happens the entire Pyramid will crumble and as mankind enters future periods there will be no more Masonic Groups. My question to the Masonic Groups is two-fold; Is this the best you can do? And do you really believe that destroying this long tradition is fair for all concerned? Consider this 2006.

You should be impudent today to check up if you have a super bargain or if you don’t with the bank that offers you a loan. A lot of the moneylenders wil show you a interest rate that is looking respectable but doesn’t feel good or so after a while. Investigate to see if the moneylender who is tending to give you a credit loan is upright. A merchant bank in Mount Prospect Illinois or so can have a total different actual loan rate for a 20000 dollar deferred payment then a merchant bank in Irvine California and that makes a large clear gap in your monthly pay offs.
This is the reason why now you really need to check and reckon if you can have a money loan at a respectable percent rate of interest. 18.1 percent rate may come out so mediocre but will that be constant after you have to pay off your bank loan. It doesn’t matter if you live in Palatine Illinois or in Carlsbad California a upright online check up will salvage you often a lot trouble. At this moment you can investigate interest rates quickly and stick out if there are other sneaky conditions you should know about.

The thought life is the beginning of victory or the beginning of defeat. Victories are won and lost here. The battle starts here and is won or lost here. Much is said in God’s Word about our thoughts and what we do with them.
Proverbs 23:7 for as he thinks in his heart, so is he. “Eat and drink!” he says to you, but his heart is not with you.
You are not going to be victorious if you are always walking in a defeated attitude. You will not even fight because you see yourself as having already lost the battle, but it doesn’t have to be this way.
God has a better way for His children. As a matter of fact He has already set the example for us in His thoughts toward us.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
If God will not think bad or evil thoughts toward us, who are we think bad or negative thoughts toward ourselves? We shouldn’t. As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.
This is not just talking about the male gender but mankind as a whole. As you think in your heart so you are. That is a pretty sobering thought isn’t it? What are your thoughts?
Many would say I can’t help what I say. God’s Word says yes you can therefore you can, but there are some steps we all must take.
Your mind is sort of like driving a car; you have a steering wheel that controls the direction of the car. If you turn it to the right it will go right and if you turn it left it goes left. That is such an obvious statement that it sounds silly, however the same principle applies to our Christian life. This very simple principle of God’s Word is ignored by the great majority of Christian believers. I see it all the time .I am not saying this to point my finger, as I was there once myself, but to encourage people into a better way. It is something we all must continually put into practice.
Do you think anybody just went into a bank one day and robbed it without premeditation?
I don’t think so. He would first have put much thought into what he was going to do. You have the choice to turn yourself over to these kinds of thoughts. They don’t just happen without your permission.
Do you think someone would have an adulterous affair with absolutely no thought about it first, no again? As a man thinks in his heart so he is. You begin steering your mind into an unlawful U turn before you actually turn the wheel don’t you. If you put enough thought into it, you most likely eventually do it. Change your thoughts.
We can turn our mind into the things that pertain to life and Godliness.
The other side of the coin so to speak is that we can turn our minds into the things of God.
God has given us very powerful weapons to help us control our thoughts and in turn fulfill prove God’s Word true.
2 Corinthians 10:4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,
5. casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
6. and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.
Thoughts can become strongholds or they can be the vehicle we steer to the obedience of Christ. Cast down these worldly thoughts and replace them with God’s thoughts.
The Apostle Paul said to the Romans …
Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Your mind is renewed by God’s Word; it is not renewed by watching television or playing video games. I am not saying not to watch television or play video games, but if television or video games is more important to you than God, then you will program the computer that is your mind with these things rather than God’s Word. The choice is ours and ours alone to make. Too much of anything can be a bad thing. The Apostle Paul said …
1 Corinthians 6:12 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
Things that are lawful can dominate us and bring us under their power if we let them.
We must cast down these worldly thoughts and replace them with God’s thoughts. We do this by changing what we think on. What we put into our minds is what will go into our hearts and eventually be what comes out of hearts abundance. As Jesus said …
Matthew 12:34 “Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
35. “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil
man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.
We can’t let out hearts get full of the wrong things. In order to prevent that from happening, we must not allow our minds to spend too much time on things that are lawful but at the same time not expedient. Too much ice cream can be a bad thing. Too much of any good thing can be bad for you. So, enough said.
We have control over our thoughts and our thoughts have control over our faith and our faith has control over our destiny.
Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy meditate on these things.
The Apostle Paul is telling us what to think on, or literally to meditate on these things.
Strong’s definition says to take an inventory, and also, to reason, reckon, suppose, think (on).
Something happens in this process. Some people think of meditation as some kind of mystic eastern religious thing, but this is not what God’s Word is saying at all.
When you spend time pondering God’s Word, it will change you like nothing else I know can. It will renew and transform your mind which will allow you to prove the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
You might say, what is proving God’s Word. Proving God’s Word to be true is seeing God’s Word and God’s will manifest in your life and that of your families. This is God’s will for us. Remember what His thoughts are toward us. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Our part is to do what His Word says to do in order for the purpose and divine will of God to be manifest in our lives. This is God will.
I want to end with a favorite Scripture of mine.
Joshua 1:8 “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
When we follow God’s directions we get God’s results. W.E. Vines Old Testament dictionary says this means “to meditate, moan, growl, utter, speak.” to murmur; by implication, to ponder:
You are thinking and pondering and then literally speaking out of your mouth what you have been pondering.
Lets prove God’s Word true, He is no respecter of persons. He wants our way successful.
Do you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior? Do you want to be a joint heir with Christ?
If so, I urge you to earnestly pray the following prayer.
Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus. Your word says, “…and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.” (Jn.6:37),
So I know You won’t cast me out, but You take me in, And I thank you for it. You said in your Word, “whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Ro. 10:13).
I am calling on Your name, So I know You have saved me now, You also said, “…that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation.” (Ro.10:9,10).
I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I believe He was raised from the dead for my justification. And I confess Him now as my Lord, Because Your Word says, “… with the heart one believes to righteousness…” and I do believe with my heart, I have now become the righteousness of God in Christ. (2 Cor. 5:21),
And I am saved! Thank You, Lord!
I can now truthfully say, I see myself as a born again child of God!
Glory to God!!!! Amen.
I was raised Catholic, and was born again at the age of 17. I received God’s call into ministry at the age of 19 and began to prepare for ministry. I graduated from Rhema Bible Training Center in 1979. The Lord has called me to teach. My desire is to help others come to a deeper understanding of the truth and I have started a web site for this purpose called The Olive Branch; Please visit us for more free studies and resources to help you on your journey.

Property Index are specialists for property in Dubai, view the site to see the different properties.
Albeit the Property Index is only a newcomer business, they were founded only in March of 2007, they have established expert status very quickly. In actuality they are a extremely easy going business specialized in offering experienced guidance to anyone who is dedicated to sell real estate anywhere in the world. Their affirmation: to lend you a hand to find squarely what’s needed quick and, naturally, without pain. Property can be located across the globe at the moment, one of the swankiest areas being estate available for sale in Dubai. It should really be an easy job to pinpoint all the wonderful property available in Dubai, one motive for selecting real estate here being real estate on the market and the marvelous possibility to live amongst such a exciting populace.
This is one of the truly trendy areas at the moment, and considering the lovely landscape and agreeable sunshine surrounding you, how could you say no…. Property in Dubai is steeped in history, art and culture, this area of the world has been and still is home to a fair number of sophisticated civilizations. Just 20 years ago you would find very few of Britons looking for property in Dubai. Ask any one single person who has removed to Dubai and they’ll tell you the same thing. Some people would tend to see it as a transient fashion and others tend to see it as a that’s more or less an infatuation! The people that will actually move here extend from young yuppie couples in search of a new life perspective to the elderly planning to enjoy themselves.
Note that there could well be perplexities when buying property overseas — you’ll have to cope with a hundred varied, not always very logical, actions be it when strategising, surveying or finalizing the deal. If you only miss a single minute step this may give rise to large perplexities and, most importantly, monetary loss. Naturally, as is to be anticipated with this well-liked place, property might be high-cost in this area and that is purely caused by the top buyer demand. Nonetheless real estate buyers patently are somewhat spoiled in such an area boasting such a phenomenal site and golden vista. It really has all, stock and barrel, one could covet, and plenty more.

Genesis 5:7
“And Seth lived after he begat Enos eight hundred
and seven years, and begat sons and daughters:”
Lunar/solar calendar math from the three oldest sources: the Jewish Calendar, Egyptian Calendar and Mesoamerican Calendars discovers embedded meanings for the ages of Seth. Progressing through the genealogy following are the lunar/solar calendar records that extend from Genesis scriptures. Each Antediluvian Patriarch character in the lineage to Enoch reports time reckoning common to ancient civilizations. Timeemits.com defines a primary age category and a secondary age category in the lengthening Antediluvian Calendar. Births until next named son are elements in the primary age category. Adam and Seth begin to recount vast spans of time. The secondary age category measures time in Mayan Calendar 400-year-Baktun-cycles. Secondary ages include time from fatherhood until death.
Mayans call the 365-day-solar-year a Haab and divide the 365-day-Haab-solar-year three different ways. The first division decides a 260-day-Tzolken-sacred-year. Adding 100-days arrives at the 360-day-Tun-year. The remaining 5-days have significant religious implications. They subdivide the final 5-day Wayeb festival period into the last 4-days and overlap the New Year by one final day. A Mayan system that derives from Mesopotamian sources manifests the Mayan 5-day Wayeb in high esteem. Sacred practices involving a 364-day-calendar-year support the belief structure. Mayans named them the five Year Bearers, which advance a 360-day-Tun-year by 5-day-names every year. Given there are four separate year bearers in a 20-year-l/s-cycle, mythology corresponds these last 4-days with four directions and four sacred mountains. They are the windows to the New Year and divide 260-day-Tzolken-sacred-years with four gates of 65-days each.
Mayan 20-year-l/s-cycles encompass five different 4-year-cycles similar to our leap day pattern. The prefix “Ka” is accepted vocabulary for the Katun, which means 20-Tun-years or one Mayan 20-year-l/s-cycle. The 4-year cycle of 5-Wayeb-days, consecutively place the next year bearer on New Year’s Day. Along these lines, the prefix “Bak” squares the 20-year-l/s-cycle to become one 400-year-Baktun-cycle. The concept of numerical matching X-days with X-years commences with ancient 364-day-calendar-years.
The secondary 807-year age of Seth prescribes an 800-year Generation Cycle as partial segment device within the whole period. The 800-year Generation Cycle repeats to hold place value in the secondary 807-year age case of Seth. The third and fourth 400-year-Baktun-cycles in the Antediluvian lineage combine in the second 800-year Generation Cycle.
The secondary 807-year age of Seth includes the second 800-year Generation Cycle, plus another 7-Tzolken-sacred-year component. The ancients add seven Mayan 260-day-Tzolken-sacred-years to the secondary 800-year Generation Cycle. Equation 1 multiplies 7-Tzolken-sacred-years by the 260-day-Tzolken-sacred-year to equal 1820-days. Another 7-Tzolken-sacred-year component of 1820-days adds with an 800-year Generation Cycle to describe the entire secondary 807-year age of Seth (Eqn. 2). Remaining time following each 800-year Generation Cycle always adds to the Patriarch’s secondary age.
Secondary ages correspond with primary ages in a chain of l/s progression from Adam through Enoch. Seth’s primary 105-year age is the first solar-side time split listed for the ancestry. Twice Adam’s primary 130-year age finishes the first numerically matched 260-year-Tzolken-sacred-cycle. Seth’s primary 105-year age then completes one 365-year-solar-cycle. Through the Antediluvian Calendar ancestry, reversing conversions between 260-day-Tzolken-sacred-years and 360-day-Tun-years took place.
Genesis 5:6
“And Seth lived an hundred and five years, and begat Enos:”
The Ethiopic 364-day calendar suits cascaded time layers for Seth. A 100-days and years single term continues with the last 5-years in the primary age category. A calendar year of 364-days provides 105-days in 105-years. The last 5-years of Seth’s primary 105-year age multiply by 364-day-Ethiopic-years to equal 1820-days (Eqn. 3). Exactly 1,820-days are whole number, integers that secure the last 7-Tzolken-sacred-years in the secondary age category. Both the primary age 5-Ethiopic-years and the secondary age 7-Tzolken-sacred-years are congruent to 1,820-days. Placing the last 365th-day on New Year’s Day calculates the 364-day-Ethiopic-year correctly according to Enoch I, the Book of Jubilees 6:23-38 and the Dead Sea Scrolls 4Q321.
The Ethiopian Book of Enoch (I) advises the perfect calendar year has 364-days. A 364-day Jubilee calendar year quite possibly demonstrates the oldest mention of cascaded time. Affiliations with initial Egyptian Calendar practices clarify 4-days assigned to solar-side and 6-days assigned to the lunar-side of the calendar. The final summit day of the 365-day calendar year and four controlling days, one for each quarter of the year, were the principal rulers of time.

CHAP. LXXIX; Verses 4-6:
The Book of Enoch (I), The Prophet
Seth, the first generation after Adam, completes a 365-day-solar-year and 365-year-solar-cycle. The primary 105-year age of Seth adds with a 260-year-Tzolken-sacred-cycle to make one 365-year-solar-cycle. A 360-day-Tun-year is the midpoint length of year that leaves 5-days of solar-side time split unaccounted for at the end of a 365-day-solar-year. Two viewpoints are possible with the 260-year-Tzolken-sacred-cycle steadfast. The first case is a 360-year-Tun-cycle in conjunction with a 365-year-solar-cycle. A 5-year difference exists between the 360-year-Tun-cycle and a 365-year-solar-cycle.
The 360-year-Tun-cycle was fundamental to lunar/solar calendar operations. A difference of 105-years from the 260-year-Tzolken-sacred-cycle compares with the primary 105-year age of Seth. Seth’s primary 105-year age is actually a composite that includes two distinct sub-periods. The first 100-years are between the 260-year-Tzolken-sacred-cycle and the 360-year-Tun-cycle. Again, the 260-year-Tzolken-sacred-cycle divides into four quadrants having 65-Tun-years each. The last 5-years compute 7-Tzolken-sacred-years in the secondary age category. Two methods estimate 7-Tzolken-sacred-years in equations 4-8 to compare closely with the 364-day-Ethiopic-year conclusions above.
Equation 4 multiplies for 1,800-days using a 365-year-solar-cycle that has 360-day-Tun-years. The alternate method in equation 5 likewise multiplies for the same 1,800-days using a 360-day-Tun-cycle and a 5-day feast period remaining between one 360-day-Tun-year and the 365-day-solar-year. The secondary 800-year Generation Cycle of Seth repeats Adam’s secondary 800-year Generation Cycle with at least 1,800-days leftover.
Substituting the more familiar 365-day-solar-year and the 365-year-solar-cycle into the calculations shows the incredible accuracy of the ancient calendar. A 365-year-solar-cycle substitutes in place of the 360-year-Tun-cycle. Comparable substitution uses a 365-day-solar-year in place of 360-day-Tun-years to result in 1,825-days (Eqn. 6). The last 5-years in Seth’s 105-year primary age amounts some 1,800-days to 1,825-days. Time beyond the 800-year Generation Cycle approximates to 7-Tzolken-sacred-years, which add in the secondary 807-year age of Seth.
Where the equations are redundant, either case divides by a 260-day-Tzolken-sacred-year to find two values approximating 7-Tzolken-sacred-years. For 1,800-days, dividing by 260-day-Tzolken-sacred-years equals 6.92-Tzolken-sacred-years (Eqn. 7). In the case of 1,825-days, dividing by 260-day-Tzolken-sacred-years results in 7.02-Tzolken-sacred-years (Eqn. 8). The last analysis closely approximates 7-Tzolken-sacred-years as supplemental time in the secondary 807-year age of Seth.
Equations 1-8
1. 7-Tzolken-sacred-years
x 260-day-Tzolken-sacred-year
= 1820-days
2. 800-year Generation Cycle
+ 7-Tzolken-sacred-year
= 807-year Secondary Age of Seth
3. Uses a 365-year-solar-cycle with 364-day-Ethiopic-year (Enochian Sect)
5-years
x 364-day-Ethiopic-year
= 1,820-days extra in 5-Ethiopic-years of 364-days
4. Uses a 365-year-solar-cycle with 360-day-Tun-years
5-years remaining after every 360-year-Tun-cycle
x 360-day-Tun-year
= 1,800-days extra in 5-Tun-years of 360-days per year
5. Uses a 360-year-Tun-cycle with 365-day-solar-year
5-days remaining after every 360-day-Tun-year
x 360-year-Tun-cycle
= 1,800-days extra in 360-year-Tun-cycle of 365-day-solar-years
6. Uses a 365-year-solar-cycle with 365-day-solar-years
5-years
x 365-day-solar-year
= 1,825-days extra in 5-years of 365-day-solar-years
7. 1800-days
260-day-Tzolken-sacred-years
= 6.92-Tzolken-sacred-years approximate:
7-Tzolken-sacred-years
8. 1,825-days
260-day-Tzolken-sacred-years
= 7.02-Tzolken-sacred-years approximate:
7-Tzolken-sacred-years
Our calendar tools enable current Bible students to explore the most remote thought processes ever. A final revelation point examines the Leap Day inclusion. Most people today are familiar with the Leap Day inclusion every four years. The single Leap Day addition every four years in our modern calendar was once a vital element for the ancient Egyptian Calendar. The Egyptian Calendar summed the quarter-day fraction every year. The last year of 365-days adds the summit to make the entire Sothic Cycle 1,461-years long. Leap Day had a very important role in remote calendars. Enoch, seventh Antediluvian Patriarch from Adam links with the Egyptian Calendar. The Enochian Sect applied the 364-day-Ethiopic-year with the parallel theme of numerical matching. Leap Days exist rooted in the 400-year-Baktun-cycle. A 400-year repeating Leap Day cycle appears in our present calendar.
The present Gregorian calendar labels the current 2006 calendar year. Our calendar embraces fine-tuning. Leap Day is normally included every fourth year on February 29. The Leap Day adjustment is required to keep the star positions on track over successive years. A 400-year cycle exists by restricting Leap Days to century years not evenly divisible by 400-years. Pope Gregory XIII modified the Julian calendar and associated Leap Day correction rules in 1582 to maintain proper Easter calculations. Easter was slipping farther into summer. The namesake calendar reform dropped the 10-days between October 5 and October 15 in 1582. The rule excluded Leap Days in centennial years not evenly divisible by 400-years. Thus, the years 1700, 1800 and 1900 excluded Leap Day. The years 1600 and 2000 added Leap Day in the usual manner. Solar year stability needs only 97 Leap Day insertions in a 400-year period.
The calendar math from the three oldest major calendars: the early Jewish Calendar, the Egyptian Calendar and the Mesoamerican Calendars shared phenomenal accuracy that resembles our modern Gregorian calendar. Leap Day adjustments were fundamental to the religious eschatology of ancient Egypt. Lunar/solar 19 and 20-year cycles anchored the four cardinal points of the solar year. A winter solstice celebration later called Saturnalia served to perpetuate the Egyptian calendar. The vernal, spring equinox began the Jewish Jubilee calendar year and the New Year of ancient Greece. The book of Enoch cites the summer solstice. Fall harvest festivals such as the Feast of Tabernacles from the Jewish lunar calendar reference the occipital, fall equinox. Leap Day calculations in our present calendar identify a 400-year pattern that reflects the Mayan 400-year-Baktun-cycle.
The translated “generation” alludes to Abraham’s first-born son after 400-years. Gen. 15:16 implies knowledge of a 400-year period. Strands referenced from sacred literature testify that given 400-year-Baktun-cycles weave into our modern view of Biblical chronology. A multiple of two 400-year-Baktun-cycles specify the 800-year Generation Cycle. The 400-year-Baktun-cycle is the final bridge to Mesoamerican history.
The calendar detailing Adam’s lineage exhibits numerical matching. In a single term, 365-day-solar-years and 365-year-solar-cycles occur throughout the text. Conceptions of days and years having the same numerical value elaborate the meaning for “and all the days of …. were …. years.” Calendar study secures the components of 105-days and 105-years as a single term. The agricultural 260-day-Tzolken-sacred-year and the matched 260-year-Tzolken-sacred-cycle describe single terms also.
The lunar/solar calendar order of the Patriarchs continues to unfold in the same manner. Components from other calendar systems assemble to employ advanced tools. The named characters from Adam to Enoch list a primary age category time that associates with the 260-year-Tzolken-sacred-cycle. The secondary age category includes the 800-year Generation Cycle. Two multiples of a 400-year-Baktun-cycle are combined for six repeating 800-year Generation Cycles. Additional time adds to the secondary age 800-year Generation Cycles and calculates in either 260-day-Tzolken-sacred-years or 360-day-Tun-years.
The Antediluvian Patriarchs incorporate a spiritual hierarchy. Birth, life and death events mark strategic points to illustrate lunar/solar calendar reckoning. Natural and explicit, the recognized eras are numerical remnants left to us by a skilled society. Kings, deities and the nature of gods all played a role in ancient cosmology. References to supernatural beings and visions are most noteworthy in the writings of Enoch.
The lifetime age of Enoch, the seventh Antediluvian Patriarch from Adam, was 365-years. More precisely, a 365-day-solar-year and the 365-year-solar-cycle appear as a 365-days-and-years single term. The solar calendar of Enoch was rooted in both Egyptian mythology and Jewish lore. Sacred Jewish texts impart an Ethiopic 364-day-calendar-year that lends new insight by reserving the last day of the solar year. A final day and year single term serves again, numerical matching of days versus years. Enoch blends with parts of many prophetic scriptures, such as “… one day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day” (II Peter 3:8). Ideas of an angelic, heavenly host compare with other sacred Jewish writings that regard supernatural entities. The Talmud, Dead Sea Scrolls and the Book of Jubilees are such examples. The complete genealogy of Adam to Noah expands in the Holy of Holies. Calendar information is serious business.

Salmon Rushdie may have been the first to flee the wrath of angry Islamic hardliners but now whole nations are on the alert. It is an easy thing to hide one man but nations are another matter. World reaction is followed by world opinion and depending on how much dust has to settle, following close behind is worldwide action. That action has been everything from hunting down major terrorists and dangerous extremists to digging for the root causes for all this anti anything that isn’t Muslim.
Immediately after 9-11 President Bush sought to encourage Americans and warn the perpetrators of the attack in New York. We rallied around his comments with ears fully opened and hearts still burning with grief. Almost un-noticed in the melee of words and emotions he also said, that we knew the Muslim religion was a peaceful religion. Do we really know that? Up to that propitious moment in our history we knew pretty close to nothing about the Islamic faith. Since those remarks were made there has been a rush to correct our general lack of knowledge about Islam. So what do we know now?
The first person to cast doubt on the peaceful religion remark was Franklin Graham the son of evangelist Rev Billy Graham. He simply pointed us to the Quran where it can be seen in black and white that the cost of not converting to Islam could be our lives. The first reaction to Graham’s divulgement was a little shy of a good old tar and feathering. Since then we have poured over the newly offered enlightenments put forth by authors, preachers, news people and others. Graham has been vindicated, our president has been a good deal less vociferous on the peaceful religion idea, and we have had a non stop crash course on the entire subject via the shock network from, Indonesia, Spain and London.
College freshman still argue that more wars have been fought and more lives have been lost to religion than for any other reason. Only a little more learning and they eventually stop sounding that obviously exaggerated claim. Most of the lives lost in war had to do with territory, politics, fascism and all the other reasons on a long list of which religion is but one. But how many converts are won as a result of religious wars and bigotry? Why can’t the Muslims take a hint from this? How many people really wanted to be Catholics during the Papal inquisitions? How many got converted to Christianity because of the crusades? How about a modestly conservative, very few if any, for a fair answer?
About as much time as it takes to get a college degree has passed since 9-11 and Americans have been immersed in both its details and its concomitant effects. We have all figuratively earned our degree in the effects of terrorism. We have had our education bolstered with remedial courses from the subways of Spain to the underground of London. If we have learned nothing else we can at least say with surety that Islam is not a peaceful religion. It assuages us little to be reminded so often that there are extremist Muslims and moderate Muslims, when we know their guide book puts forth a mandate to take the extreme. That information leaves us with only two lousy choices. One is to be ever watchful of the extreme Muslims and the other is to hope the moderate Muslims don’t get to serious about the Quran’s extremes.
Perhaps a better question is what have Muslims learned? Has the slaughter of unsuspecting, un-armed and un-prepared people added any converts to Islam? Has it caused anyone to rush to join their ranks? The world consensus may be hard to accurately measure but it seems safe to say that not many are taking the bait.
We still live in a world where people don’t like being blown up for holding an opposing view or for not being inclined to become adherents to one religion or another. I think that is why we call it civilization. Most people like to come slowly to their conclusions about God. Most folks still prefer spiritual experiences rather than human coercion. Most people would prefer a gentle Jesus to a poisoning Jim Jones. Even the cults have sense enough to feign love to the unsuspecting to lure them into their folds. What nation or what culture has ever been found to eagerly accept a religion that thinks blowing people up is pleasing to God? Why don’t Muslims see they are doing more to harm their cause than time and forgiveness may ever be able to repair?

More and more today people are showing an obsession about things of the end times, especially Armageddon, the so-called end of times battle between God and the forces of evil. Not only has the Left Behind series sold 70 million copies, but now we also have the television mini-series on Revelation. These fictional accounts purport to be accurate depictions of the end, based on Scripture, particularly Revelation and Daniel. They include bloody battles, judgment on those who are not Christian (or even conservative Christians) and a host of characters who are demonic and totally evil. Some have claimed that these depictions have brought new people to the Christian faith, and have revived the art of Christian fiction. I would argue that they do more to subvert true faith. They do so in three ways.
First of all they subvert true hope. Let’s look at the picture they present: The large majority of the earth’s population will be wiped out in violent battle (all the atheists, all the agnostics, all the non-Christians, and all those who claim to be Christians, but aren’t – apathetic church-goers and “liberal” Christians). Of course, these will be then subjected to an eternity of hell. What will be left will be a small minority of committed Christians who will gain their eternal reward. But where is the hope? It’s like what Mark Twain said: “Christianity talks about how terrible hell will be and how easy it is to go there, and how beautiful heaven will be and how hard it is to get there…and they call that ‘good news’!” We need to stop and think. If God made this world and the people in it, but he will have to end up destroying the vast majority and saving only a few, doesn’t that make God’s creation a colossal failure? If a team loses far more than it wins, don’t we think of them as a losing team?
But there are Scriptures which give a truly hopeful picture, and we need to emphasize them instead:
“The wolf will live with the lamb,
the leopard will lie down with the goat,
the calf and the lion and the yearling together;
and a little child will lead them…
They will neither harm nor destroy
on all my holy mountain,
for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord
as the waters cover the sea.” – Isaiah 11:6, 9 (NIV)
Or how about the hope the Apostle Paul showed that God’s grace would eventually win people over?: “For God has imprisoned all in disobedience so that he may be merciful to all” (Rom. 11:32, NRSV); or 1 Timothy 2:4 which says that God “desires everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth” (NRSV). What a great fall it is from such passages to consigning the vast majority of humanity to an earthly and then an eternal hell.
Some would object that Armageddon and a violent end to human history is biblical. It is certainly true that there is much in Revelation that can be interpreted this way. However, the book of revelation was written to bring hope to those who were being martyred in the early church. Most of its images relate to the vindication of these early martyrs and God destroying the persecutor, the Roman Empire. The famous number 666 was the number of Nero’s name (the letters of his name converted to numerical values and added together). The Emperor Domitian was thought to be Nero brought back to life, and was considered to be the anti-Christ. Revelation predicted the downfall of this anti-Christian empire, and the prediction was correct. The Roman Empire has long since fallen, and Christianity has prevailed. That was the essence of what Revelation was about. Yes, it also includes a general vision of the perfect world at the end of time (Rev. 21), and that is one of the beautiful visions of Scripture. It also include battles, but in highly metaphorical language that really speak of a spiritual battle between good and evil. There is no need to think in terms of them meaning an actual military encounter at the end of time.
These apocalyptic fictional accounts also subvert our efforts to deal with evil. They make us think that the characters we have to really look out for are the ones who are pure evil – who have that gleam in their eye, and who are only out to destroy. Many people seem to want this simplified view. Perhaps it gives them confidence that they can always spot evil easily when it comes: “I mean we can always spot evil in the action movies, why can’t we in real life?” But evil often comes in the racist who really does love her family, and really does see other races as a threat to their happiness. Evil often comes in the terrorist who believes so completely that his way is right and good for his oppressed people that he will carry a bomb into a crowd of people. Evil even sometimes comes when a Christian who believes in defending his country ends up killing the children of a foreign culture, and intensifying the hatred between peoples. Looking for pure evil distracts us and keeps us from seeing it in these hybrid forms.
And finally this fictional obsession subverts our efforts to bring a better world. If we believe that God will just come along and fix everything we have messed up, what motivation do we have to work for a better world? God will come in like Vin Diesel, blow a few things up, and it will all be like it should. That really takes us off the hook. Except that Christ called us to be peacemakers (Mt. 5:9), and to do greater things even than he had done (Jn. 14:12); and the first disciples were even said to have “turned the world upside down” (Acts 17:6).
Jesus, during his earthly ministry said, “all who take the sword will perish by the sword” (Mt. 26:52). Any movement established by violence can be destroyed by violence. That is why Jesus chose to use the weapons of his words and his loving sacrifice instead of violence. These are the forces which established the church and made it strong. Why should God return to the ways of the world, the way of violent force, at the end of time?
One of the real dangers of buying into this concept of a violent end is that it gives some people justification for making it happen. If a violent judgment is what God wants, why not as his followers help bring it about? People have taken this approach throughout history. Oliver Cromwell thought that by taking over the leadership of England and forcing everyone to have the right faith he would establish “godly rule” and God’s kingdom would come. In the midst of the present obsession with Armageddon, what is to keep a modern-day Cromwell from thinking this should be tried again?
Bringing about a better world cannot be done through the kind of violence which creates more violence. And yes, it cannot be done through human power alone. It should include helping people to retain a hope that God will act. God has not surrendered this world to evil, and he will act. We just have to remember that his action starts with the actions of those who have faith in him and the love he has taught us to have for each other.
