How do you get the most out of your list?

We all know that a lot of marketing is done to a list but, say you have a sizable list. Now what?

Once you have a list of any size built-up, you must start broadcasting to it. This is important for a couple of reasons;

1. You have to realize that a good percentage of your list will have people that are new to marketing on it. You might think of these subscribers as being in a kind of stasis–they’re really just checking things out. So one purpose of broadcasting is to stir up some interest or excitement among these new-comers.

One good way to do this is with contests. For example a friend of mine had a referral contest and the prize was $200.00 cash. The great thing about this contest was that, even if you didn’t win, you still got a lot of really great free things for signing-up, and it was free also.

2. You will make many more sales and sign-ups with your broadcasts.

Don’t broadcast more than about once a week, but do broadcast. One week, give away freebies, or have a contest or business tips, the next week advertise. Be charming and entertaining. Use some flare, to have a more distinct personality and stand out from the crowd of faceless form letters!

Remember, if you don’t broadcast to your list and keep it active, your list may soon shrink to nada.

Many times the things that we read are just propaganda and sometimes what we read is made a little flamboyant, to sell papers, and then again the things that we don’t get to read are the things that are really devastating to us.

Sheikh Ismail Nawahda, preaching to Moslem masses on the Temple Mountain Jerusalem on Friday, has brought it out into the open: the call to restore the Moslem Khalifate, or, “Genuine Islamic Rule.” A plan for the “Return of the Khalifate” was published secretly in 2002 by a group called “The Guiding Helper Foundation.” The group explained that it wished to “give direction to the educated Muslim populace in its increasing interest in the establishment of Islam as a practical system of rule.”(I.E. Dictatorship.)

This past Friday, Feb. 24, 2006, however, the plan went public. Sheikh Nawahda called publicly for the renewal of the Islamic Khalifate, which would “unite all the Moslems in the world against the infidels.” (create a massive army against all who will not bow down to Mohamidism.)
The Khalifate system features a leader, known as a Khalif, who heads worldwide Islam. Assisted by a ten-man council (Sometimes referred to as 10 Kings.), his decisions are totally binding on all Moslems.
According to the Foundation’s vision of the Khalifate, significant
punishment can only be meted out for 14 crimes, including “accusing a chaste person of fornication,” “not performing the formal prayer,” and “not fasting during Ramadan.”( This could possibly be a prelude to the mark of the beast (666), knowing who and whom isn’t a follower of the Khalifate.)
The Foundation recommends working to restore the Moslem dictatorship using a system of small groups around the world. (These pockets of followers are many times called “Cells.”)

The purpose is so that the “enemies of Islam” who “will definitely try to stop us” will have a “much harder task, if not impossible, if they are faced with a myriad of small groups of differing locations, ethnicities,” etc. ( A world wide Moslem dictatorship isn’t that far fetched an Idea, considering the vast number of their followers, located, may I add, all around the Globe.)
This method also “ensures that if one group is found and cut off, other similar groups will remain undetected.”

Sheikh Nawahda reminded his Temple Mount audience that the first step taken by Muhammad in stabilizing his rule was to form the nucleus of the first Islamic country in the city of Medina (Medina is a city located North of Mecca and north east of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.). Nawahda also said that the status of Moslems around the world has dropped drastically ever since the collapse of the last Khalifate in 1924, after Turkey became a democratic republic. (This was the beginning of a divided Muslim State. Now we have many divisions of Muslims and civil war between all factions, noting that they are all of the same religion.)

Nawahda called upon the Arabs of the Palestinian Authority to rise above their personal and party interests, and said that Moslems must return to Islam and join forces in the struggle against the West. (To have one single man in charge of all Muslims around the world, would be a great disturbance to all Christians and the Gentile Race of people.)

He praised the worldwide protests against the anti-Mohammed cartoons, and encouraged the Moslem public to continue such activities. He implied that those who insulted Mohammed are liable for death. The Sheikh designated the Moslem masses as a strong point that can be utilized in the fight against the West. ( This type of rhetoric is a start in the direction of united muslim Force.)

In The Book of Revelations and especially in Daniel, we see an upcoming ruler that will take three Kingdoms by force and the other seven by capitulation. Isn’t this the way of the Khalifate?
Dan 7:23-27. Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.

And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.

And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: ( The times and laws, could be what the Muslim Khalifate will desire to do.) and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.

And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him. end part 1. Now there is no law that says you have to follow these rules, but if you are in business on the Web, you should definitely pay attention.

Rule #1 – Turn off your CAPS LOCK – Some people seem to feel that if they write their E-mail in ALL CAPS it will be more effective.
Quite the opposite is the case. CAPS should be used only for emphasis. Many people consider the use of ALL CAPS as being the equivalent of shouting and do take offense at it.

Rule #2 – Never send multiple E-mails without using Blind Carbon Copies (BCC). If every E-mail address you sent it to is displayed, you are making the spammers job a lot easier when they harvest addresses. But you have to address it to someone, even if using BCC, so remember, there are a lot of “kooks” in this world who will persecute anyone they can identify.

When using BCC, never send the note to someone on your mailing list. If you have a second ID use that, or send the note to yourself with copies to everyone on your list. That way, if someone decides to “vent” it will come back to you and not someone on your list. It also gives you a permanent record of the E-mails you sent to your mailing list. If you don’t have a second ID#, you can get one easily at Juno, Hotmail, etc.

Rule #3 – Are you sure your E-mail was actually sent to your mailing list? One easy way to be sure it was, is to include your E-mail address in your file of names you send it to. A good method is to include your address at the very end of the list. If you get your copy, you can be sure everyone else did as well.

Rule #4 – Don’t Bore Them to Death – Advertising by E-mail is a cheap and effective way to get your message out to people, and most people don’t mind getting an E-mail if it is short and to the point, but don’t spam and send to people you don’t already have a relationship with. Also, don’t try to sell them your product or services with your first mailing. Try to pique their curiosity instead and have them either reply to your E-mail or visit your Web Site.

Rule #5 – Honor Removes – if someone asks to be removed from your mailing list, do it immediately and send them a courtesy note advising them it has been done. Keeping people on your mailing list that don’t want to receive your information is not only bad form, but can cost you your ISP if a complaint is lodged against you.

And NEVER forge headers so they can’t respond to you by E-mail.
This is the favorite trick of the scamsters who don’t want you to respond to their E-mail, and give you a number to call or a form to fill out instead.

Rule #6 – Be sure that you are not sending the same person multiple E-mails. This is a definite sign of spam and most people will simply delete them.

Rule #7 – I still get E-mails with no text and the message they wish me to read is an attachment to the E-mail. It is immediately deleted as it could very well contain a virus – even from someone you know. Some ISP’s have a top limit to the amount of text they will display, and anything larger is automatically converted to an attachment. Many people will not go through this exercise, so you should ensure that your E-mail message can be read by all the people it is sent to, without them having to open an attachment.

Do you know that numbers are the key to life? Indeed numbers form the foundations of mathematics from number theory all the way up to partial differential equations. Without these curious creatures, we could not calculate, estimate, or compute (as in computer); nor could we transact any of the business that occurs daily throughout the known world. Yet most people find these most interesting entities just a bothersome part of life. Why should this be so? Well maybe a person’s ambivalence towards numbers derives from childhood frustrations experienced when struggling to learn the basics of arithmetic and the rote calculations associated with this discipline.

Lacking an appreciation for numbers can be a sad state of affairs for any person since such a condition often leads to mathematical illiteracy. As parents we should try to instill a love and curiosity for numbers into the minds of our children so that they never arrive at this blighted condition. One way we can do this is by teaching our children early on the amazing properties of numbers and some of the magical calculations that can be performed with them. Indeed the Teenage Number Trick, the Nifty Five Square Technique (see my other articles on these topics), and the techniques laid out in this article should suffice to arouse and stimulate curiosity even in the most torpid learners. Thus here we go on to introduce a calculation that permits one to square any “one” number with blinding speed. In a future article we will learn how to multiply any two arbitrary “one” numbers with no difficulty at all.

But in order to begin this short educational journey, we need to understand what we are talking about in the first place. What is a “one” number. Take a stab at it before reading further. Okay, now the definition. A “one” number is simply a number whose digits consist entirely of 1’s. Thus 1 11 111 1111 11111 are all “one” numbers. Because 1 is such a special numberin fact one of the most important constants in mathematics, much like water is one of the most important compounds in chemistryits presence as the sole digit in forming numbersthe “one” numbersmakes squaring these numbers such an easy task. Watch what I mean.

To multiply the number 11 by itself, something called “squaring 11″ or taking the square of 11, we obtain 121. Stepping up to 111, squaring we have 12321. If we square 1111, we get 1234321. I think by now the pattern has become clear to you and we can thus form a rule for squaring any “one” number: write down the digits consecutively from 1 to the number represented by the number of 1’s forming the “one” number and then count backwards from this number to 1. So in 1111, we have four 1’s. To square this number write the numbers from 1 to 4 consecutively, and then back from 4 to 1 so as not to repeat the 4 twice: 1 2 3 4 3 2 1 to get 1234321 or one million two hundred and thirty-four thousand three hundred and twenty-one. That’s all there is to it. Want a bigger example. Try 11,111 x 11, 111. How many 1’s? Five. So we get 123454321 or one hundred twenty-three million four hundred fifty-four thousand three hundred twenty-one.

If you show your kids how to do these calculations so that they can multiply and square numbers which produce results in the hundreds of millions, do you think they might have a new outlook on mathematics and their ability to master this subject? Yahoo and MSN will gladly give you a free email address because you help market their business with every click of the send button.

Earthlink and AOL get you to pay them every month to promote their service. I ask you, what are the chances of wemakewidgets@aol.com winning a ten million dollar contract over yourname@wemakewidgets.com Who do you think will be taken more seriously? Don’t get me wrong I am sure there are many multi million dollar deals done using these services. But how many of them keep using it to create a more corporate and professional image.
