Yamaha Announced the Yamaha World Superbike Team for 2010

The 2010 Season for Yamaha’s World Superbike Team introduces an all British team of motorcyclists. The highlight of the team is the 28 year old Mr. James Toseland, the two time World Superbike Champion. Toseland is the number one motorcyclist in England. The 2008 MotoGP rookie is now a seasoned contender sure to bring more victory to the Yamaha World Super Bike Team.
James Toseland is very excited to join Team Yamaha, “I’m looking forward to return to World Superbikes. I want to show I’m still a rider that can win world titles. Of course there is some disappointment at losing my opportunity in MotoGP as I believe the challenge was still achievable, but the R1 has proven to be beyond the strongest bikes in Superbike and I know many of the Yamaha World Superbike Team guys, so I’m going to pick up where I left off and give 100% to achieving good results with the team.”
Riding alongside James Toseland is his partner 24 year old Cal Crutchlow. He recently enjoyed a five race win and has had many record breaking laps. His progression from the World Supersport team to Yamaha’s World Superbike Team was a natural next step for the young champion. Crutchlow’s garnered him a second place standing at Donington and ninth for Portimao.
